Fujitsu General is launching its operation in the air conditioner sector in India, starting with the creation of a direct sales structure for inverter units. The Japanese manufacturer is also planning to expand its operations in the promising segment of commercial use air conditioners.

At the end of January, Fujitsu General officially commenced its business activities on the Indian market. The sales and promotion of air conditioning equipment dedicated primarily to individual customers will be carried out through the company’s local subsidiary Fujitsu General Private Limited India, based in Chennai – the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu and the largest cultural, economic and educational centre in southern India.

The next step in the expansion of the Fujitsu brand on the Indian market will be the addition of commercial solutions to its product portfolio and the implementation of new services in the field of HVACR system design, investment execution and servicing work provided for the large investment sector by an affiliated company of the ETA ASCON Group – ABS Aircon Engineers Private Limited.

In the near future, Fujitsu intends to offer its clients in India access to new models of inverter type air conditioners that will respond to specific market requirements, related primarily to the growing demand for energy-efficient products, as well as units resistant to voltage fluctuations and temperatures typical for this geographical region.

On entering the Indian market, the Japanese manufacturer will focus on strengthening the Fujitsu brand through, among others, the intensification of marketing activities and the implementation of professional after-sales services.

According to the estimates prepared by Fujitsu General and local sales representatives of the brand, the air conditioner market in India is growing rapidly at an annual rate of 10% or more, and this upward trend is set to continue. When considering the strategy of implementing mid-term business plans, India is regarded as one of the top priority markets for the development of Fujitsu General.
