Fujitsu General Wireless Remote Controller – a remote control for Fujitsu air conditioners, available in Europe for KJ series devices, has won the prestigious Good Design Award 2025.
The latest model of the Fujitsu portable remote control has been awarded the prestigious Good Design Award 2025. This award not only highlights the modern design of the controller, but above all points to its functionality and ergonomics, which have been developed on the basis of detailed research and user feedback.
One of the key advantages of the remote control is its simplified button layout – all basic air conditioning functions and menu operation have been integrated into one easily accessible location. Intuitive pictograms make the device simple and highly intuitive to use.
The designers also ensured that the remote control is compact, measuring 52 mm × 186 mm × 17.6 mm. These dimensions were chosen after user testing, ensuring that the remote control fits comfortably in the hand.
The device menu has been designed to be user-friendly – less frequently used functions have been grouped into categories, allowing for quick configuration of settings. In addition, a QR code has been placed on the back of the casing, providing instant access to the user manual and detailed information about the remote control.
The Good Design Award is presented by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion to honor products that combine aesthetics and practicality. In the 2025 edition of this prestigious competition, 1,619 designs were selected from over 5,000 entries, confirming the uniqueness of the design and functionality of Fujitsu's latest remote control.
