Fujitsu heat pumps with new warranty service guidelines

Added on: 18.01.2021
Klima-Therm – General Distributor of Fujitsu units – has introduced new guidelines for warranty service as well as technical and commercial support for the air-to-water (ATW) heat pump segment. From now on, any newly purchased ATW units will be covered by full warranty protection provided by Klima-Therm through certified Service Partners.

In line with the new warranty service guidelines, which became applicable on 1 January 2021, Klima-Therm Sp. z o.o. has taken over the delivery costs of spare parts and the repairs of Fujitsu ATW heat pumps purchased starting this year. Services related to the warranty policy will now be performed by Service Partners (SP).

Installation companies, having completed the necessary training confirmed with an Authorisation Certificate and having signed the Service Partner Agreement (SP Agreement), will be authorised to commission heat pumps and provide maintenance services, which will include the replacement of parts, in accordance with the provisions of the new certificate of warranty. Crucially, it is not necessary to sign the SP Agreement to sell and install heat pumps. However, only a Service Partner with a valid SP certificate will be entitled to commission a heat pump and perform warranty services on behalf of and at the expense of Klima-Therm.

The introduction of new warranty terms is aimed at increasing the attractiveness of Fujitsu heat pumps in the forward-looking segment of RES heating products. With this mind, the company has enhanced its technical and commercial support structures by creating positions of Product Managers dealing with heat pumps and by appointing to this post engineers with long-standing experience in the industry. Moreover, the taking over of the full warranty protection for heat pumps will lead to lower operating costs of installers cooperating with Klima-Therm on the basis of the SP Agreement.

Installers looking to establish cooperation with Klima-Therm in regards to heat pumps according to the new guidelines are invited to contact the regional representatives of the Fujitsu dealer network.
