The Multi Split air conditioner is an extension of the Split air conditioner, which is a direct evaporation air conditioning system.
In contrast to the Split system, consisting of 1 outdoor unit and 1 indoor unit, the Multi Split system consists of 1 outdoor unit and 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 indoor units.
The following factors are required for the system to work properly:
- Electricity supply for the outdoor unit
- Connection of each indoor unit to a separate outdoor refrigeration system, power supply and control system
- Drainage of condensate from the outdoor unit and each indoor unit
- Provision of wired or wireless control for each indoor unit
In the Multi Split system, each indoor unit can operate independently in a separate room. These systems are designed for the air conditioning of small facilities of up to 200 m2, where there are no large distances between indoor and outdoor units.
A separate system altogether is the Multi 8 system, which supports as many as eight indoor units using one outdoor unit. It is certainly worthwhile to become acquainted with this system.
